Katie
Kelzenberg, a senior at the Stillwater High School in Oklahoma, absolutely
loves Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson. A huge fan of the wrestler, Kelzenberg has
memorized the lines to most of his movies. She adores the guy so much, in fact,
that she mustered up the courage to ask the A-List superstar to her senior prom
on Twitter.
Unsurprisingly,
Kelzenberg didn’t hear back from Johnson — that is, until one day, when she was
sitting in class. The regular afternoon announcements began to play over the
loudspeakers, but she noticed the usual announcer had been replaced by a very
familiar voice.
“Good
morning to the Stillwater Area High School students, this, as you might have
guessed, is Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock …”
As
it turns out, Johnson had reached out to the Stillwater High administration and
secretly recorded the daily announcements. He let Kelzenberg know he couldn’t
attend prom due to scheduling conflicts, but added that he had a special
surprise for her…
“Katie,
I’m sure you are soooooo embarrassed right now, but I just had to let you know
how cool and awesome you are for inviting me to your prom,” he said.
“Because
we are now best friends, and I have so much love for you because you’re so
awesome, I have a special gift. I’ve rented out a theater tomorrow, the gift is
this, grab all your favorite friends and closest family members and whoever you
want to bring, because tomorrow I’m showing you a screening of my new movie,
‘Rampage’ … and all the popcorn and candy and soda you can drink, cause it’s
all on me.”
He
even posted a message about Kelzenberg on his Instagram account:

What
a sweet guy! Now this is how all celebrities should treat their fans. I’m sure
Kelzenberg will treasure this moment forever.
