And
when it’s hot out and I’m pretty sure I’m going to sweat through my T-shirt,
deodorant is my best friend.
But
what I didn’t know until now is that deodorant isn’t just for armpits. For
example, you can also use it on your feet and boobs.
So
the only question I’m asking myself now is: why didn’t I know this before?
If
you don’t have deodorant at home, you’ll want to buy some after reading this.
But before you do, think about choosing a product that’s aluminum-free, since
aluminum can have adverse health effects. You can find aluminum-free deodorants
at most pharmacies and online shops.
Here
are nine super smart tips for how to get the most out of deodorant beyond
keeping your armpits dry and fresh.
1. Get rid of pimples
If
you have a stubborn pimple on your face and your regular products aren’t
working, deodorant is a good last resort. Many deodorants contain
antiperspirants that can dry out your skin. This is what keeps armpits dry, and
it has the same effect on your face. So if your face has any oily patches, try
dabbing it with deodorant that contains antiperspirant.
2. Prevent underboob sweat
The
area below your breasts can get pretty sweaty in the summer. And while sweating
through your top while exercising is one thing, it’s something else entirely at
the office or dinner. Just lift up your breasts and apply some deodorant
underneath. You’ll stay dry and you’ll smell great, too.
3. Slide into tight jeans
You
know the feeling. You’re struggling to put on a pair of skinny jeans. You’ve
got them over your calves, but your thighs just aren’t cooperating. But instead
of battling it out with your favorite pair of jeans, you can rub your legs with
deodorant. You’ll be surprised by how easily even the skinniest jeans will
slide on after that.
4. Keep sunglasses in place
There’s
nothing more annoying then having to keep adjusting your sunglasses as they
constantly slide down the bridge of your nose. You might think that some days
are just too hot and sweaty to do anything about it, but dab a little deodorant
on your nose and you’ll put an end to annoying sliding glasses.
5. Avoid leaving sweat stains on chairs and sofas
We’ve
all seen dark spots where a sweaty person has sat and gotten up. Standing up
and leaving a big spot on a chair or backrest is not how you want people to
remember you after you say goodbye. But if you rub your back with deodorant you
can avoid this.
6. Stop night sweats
Waking
up in sweat-soaked sheets is never fun, especially if you showered the night
before to save time in the morning. If your bedroom is hot or you had
nightmare, you can sweat bullets. But by applying deodorant to your body before
you lie down, you can easily keep yourself dry.
7. Stop stinky feet
Who
said that only armpits smell bad? Dab deodorant under your feet and between
your toes. Your feet won’t sweat and you won’t feel embarrassed when you take
off your shoes.
8. Prevent blisters
New
shoes often cause blisters before you have a chance to break them in. When
you’re hot, your feet swell and rub against your shoes, creating painful
blisters. Rub some antipersipirant deodorant in your shoes and it will soak up
the sweat, preventing blisters.
9. Razor burn
Summer
is almost here, which means it’s time to break out your swimsuit. Everyone who
shaves dreads razor burn, but deodorant can actually put a stop to it. Rub some
deodorant on your bikini/swimsuit after shaving to keep your skin soft and
prevent irritation.
These
nine uses for deodorant are why I always have some on hand. It’s a real
lifesaver in many situations. Please share these tip with others.
